Postdoctoral Researchers
Margaret M. Suhanovsky, Ph.D.

While in the lab (August 2015-November 2017), Maggie  co-authored publications in Photochemistry and Photobiology (2017), Cell (2017), Genes & Development (2019) and Nature Communications (2020) . She also received twice the  Wavemaker Fellowship from the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation. She went on to work as a senior scientist at Eurofins in Cambridge, MA. She was promoted to Principal Scientist, then Regional Manager.

Jonghyeon Son, Ph.D.

Jonghyeon Son spent one year in the lab and is co-author on our paper published in Protein Science (2021),  Subsequently, he became a scientist at the Daegu New Drug Development Center (Korea).

Christiane Brugger, Ph.D.

Christiane obtained both a bachelor's and master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Vienna).  She then completed her doctoral degree in structural biology at the University of Geneva (Switzerland), where she worked on chromatin remodelers in the group of Thomas Schalch.  Christiane is co-author on our papers published in Genes & Development (2019), Protein Science (2021) and Frontiers in Genetics (2022), and a first author on our papers in Nature Communications (2020), Bio-protocol (2021) and Journal of Biological Chemistry (2023, 2024). She spent 6 years on the lab (2018-2023).

Victoria Frankovich

Research Assistant, July 2014-November 2016

Subsequent position: lab technician at First Light Biosciences, MA.

Victoria is first author on our paper published in Genes & Development (2019).

Srinivas Srirangam

Research Assistant, June 2017-June 2018

Recipient of the Wavemaker Fellowship from the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation

Subsequent position: editorial assistant at JOVE. Now a student at The New England College of Optometry. Srini is co-author on our paper in Journal of Biological Chemistry (2024).

Currently doing other rotations at Brown.

Jacob Schwartz

Research Assistant, June 2019-June 2021

He subsequently enrolled in the  PhD program at Stanford University.

 Jacob is  first author on our paper in Protein Science (2021) and co-author on our paper in Journal of Biological Chemistry (2023).

Undergraduate Researchers
Sarah Perelman

Undergraduate researcher: 3/2014-6/2015  
Sarah concentrated in Biology and Comparative Literature while at Brown University. She was the recipient of a 2014 Summer UTRA Fellowship, and wrote a Senior Honors Thesis while in the lab. She was then a researcher at Brigham and Women's in Boston, and eventually enrolled at the UPenn Medical School. Sarah is a co-author on our collaborative paper with the Wang lab published in Cell (2017).

Undergraduate researcher: 3/2014-6/2015  
Gordon was the recipient of a 2014 Summer UTRA Fellowship, and wrote a Senior Honors Thesis while in the lab. After graduation, he went on to work as an analyst for the Stratis Group.

Gordon Wade
Lucas Weiser

Undergraduate researcher: 6/2015-8/2015
Luke is the recipient of a 2015 Summer UTRA Fellowship from Brown University. After graduation, he was a medical student at the UCSF Medical School.

Benjamin Doughty

Undergraduate researcher: 9/2015-12/2015

Recipient of  the 2017 Brown's Senior Prize in Biology. Ben went on to work as a computational associate at the Broad Institute.

Amy Lipman

Undergraduate researcher: 6/2016-9/2016

Michelle Xiong

Undergraduate researcher: 6/2016-9/2016

After graduation, Michelle continued her studies at the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University.

Valerie Zhu

Undergraduate researcher: 1/2017-8/2017

Recipient of a Brown University UTRA Fellowship (declined) and an RI-INBRE SURF Fellowship from NIH-NIGMS.

Valerie went on to study at the UMASS Worcester Medical School.

Caitlin Anthony

Undergraduate Researcher from Hamilton College: Summer of 2017.

 After graduation, Caitlin went on to work at Children's Hospital in Boston,             MA, and then completed her studies at the Nursing School at Columbia     University (NY)

Martin Filipovski

Undergraduate Researcher (2017-2018 academic year) , who completed an Honors Thesis while in the lab. He then joined Dana Farber as a research technician, and is currently a PhD candidate at Harvard University.

Martin is s a co-author on our paper in Journal of Biological Chemistry 2023).

Undergraduate Researcher (2018-2019 academic year), who completed an Honors Thesis while in the lab. He then joined Brigham and Women's as a research technician and eventually enrolled at the NYU Medical School. David is a co-author on our paper in Nature Communications (2020).

Aryana Javaheri

Undergraduate Researcher (2017-2019). She then did research at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NYC.

Sarah volunteered in the lab for two years (2017-2019) and has graduated in 2019. She is currently an MD candidate at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Amita Sastry

Undergraduate Researcher (2018-2020 academic year) , who completed an Honors Thesis while in the lab. She is currently a medical student in the PMLE program at Brown University. Amita is a co-author on our paper published in Genes & Development (2019).

Lisa Schulmeyer

Undergraduate Researcher (2020-2021), who completed a Honors Thesis while in the lab. Lisa was awarded the Llewelyn B. Clapp Award for an outstanding Honors Thesis. After graduation, Lisa became a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group.

Rebecca  is co-author on our paper published in Journal of Biological Chemistry (2023), a recipient of a Brown University Senior Prize and of the "best poster" award at the Brown Undergraduate Research Symposium. She is currently in the Lebensohn lab at the NIH.
