Lab Is Awarded New Multi-Year R35 Grant by the National Institutes of Health!
Our future work will extend our research on pathways involved in bacterial responses to stress, and particularly DNA damage. We will tackle new pathways, new players and molecular strategies that bacteria use in order to adapt to a stressful environment. This work has relevance for biofilm formation, which underlies 80% of infections and for the development of new antimicrobial agents! We gratefully acknowledge the support of NIGMS and thank all present and current lab members and collaborators for their research contributions..
